Postdoctoral position

    We are seeking a motivated scientist for a postdoctoral position at the department of Atmospheric Sciences, National Taiwan University. The postdoc will work with a small group of PIs on convection and multiscale oscillations in the South China Sea (SCS) and Maritime Continent (MC) climate system. The goal of the study is to understand the processes of convection-dynamics interacting with topography and ocean over the SCS-MC. Specific research includes but not limited to process-oriented analysis and modeling of diurnal to intraseasonal tropical convective variability.

    The candidate should have expertise in dynamic or physical meteorology, experiences in regional or global models or/and its parameterization schemes, and familiarity with programming languages including Fortran, MatLab, and Unix Shell.
